U.S. Automotive Industry Study
The importance of efficient and accurate data exchange is highligthed. The case of automotive industry shows the significance of the interoperability issues due to complexity of product and design process. The analysis of the US supply chain structure points out the significance of interoperabily issues and problems can affect competitiveness of industry. This lesson is part of the training session for newcomers of the ISO TC 184 SC4 committee. The lectures were recorded during the meeting held at Vico Equense, Naples, in 2006. Objective of the course: understanding the importance of ISO TC 184/SC4 standards.
