Geothermal Energy: main technical aspects relevant to field exploration and development
The course will deal with the following subjects: Geothermal systems and worldwide update; Project implementation stages;Main technological aspects drilling well/reservoir characterization scaling problems; Exploitation strategies aimed at the resource sustainability: the Larderello case history.
Mining activity with the relevant mining risk The resource is the heat stored underground The amount of the resource is not known �a priori� The produced fluids (steam or water) are the �vector� for the heat extraction Renewable/sustainable resource All the activities (complete cycle) are in the same location Specific permitting, acceptability, environmental aspects
